Starting Strawberry Seeds | angiethefreckledrose.com

Reusing a cupcake tray to start seeds.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been starting seeds this weekend. I have to admit, I’m a total perfectionist. I love it when things are clean, organized and, well…perfect. All of that goes out the window when I start seeds. I love just getting messy while listening to happy music without a care in the world.

When starting seeds, I find it easier just to let go of all the doubt. Not everything’s going to work, and some seeds may not even germinate. That’s okay! I think that’s the fun of it really. Here’s a photo of a cupcake tray I’m reusing to start strawberry seeds in.

Question: What kind of recycled material do you use to start seeds in? Let me know in the comment section below!

Life and Linda

Hello friends, I hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s Day. It’s been spring like weather here in California. I had an opportunity to snap a few photos of blooming flowers.  I was also busy helping my mom a few days before Valentines setting up her  luncheon with a few lady friends.

I’m enjoying your posts about gardening, Angie. I’m trying to grow a small garden for the first time this year and I’m so excited …and little scared I might kill everything! Great party this week and thank you all so much for the recipe feature! 🙂

Thank you for being so supportive of other bloggers. I think parties are the best social media strategy around!! I linked my Broasted Chicken, Fish and Chips and my Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Black Bean Chili for that down home comfort meal. I hope you enjoy them. Have a happy week! #OverTheMoon #WWBlogHop #ThursdayFavoriteThings

Happy weekend! We just had ANOTHER snowstorm, so garden life is still very far in the distant future for me.
In the meantime, enjoying the beauty!

Hi, glad to link up! I am determined not to buy any new plastic plant pots this year, so I’m sowing my seeds in recycled toilet roll tubes, and empty kids jelly pots. I punch holes in the bottom of the jelly pots for drainage, and stand them in the tray they come in from the supermarket – looks like the one in your picture!
