Growing Now – May

I am so excited to be a part of the Growing Now Garden Tour kick-off hosted by my friend Beth Billstrom.  Anyone can join in on this fun event by posting photos of what is growing in your garden every Thursday!  After posting to your blog, link your post by visiting MoreThanOregano.com. While you're there you can tour, enjoy and get inspired by other gardens as well.  If you are on Twitter, share what is growing in your garden by using the hashtag #grownow2015 It's that easy!

My garden is located in Zone 6a New England and with the weather still dropping down to the low 40's at night, not very many perennials have bloomed yet.  I'm still patiently waiting for my white and pink peonies to pop open and the rhododendron bush to expose it's buds into beautiful light pink blossoms.  In the meantime, I have been purchasing some annual flowers and beginning my vegetable garden.

If you want to learn more about any of the flowers and shrubs I'm growing pictured in this post,  just click on the photograph.  This will bring you to my My Plantsmap and provide you with more detailed information.  If you would like to make your own Plantsmap account, head on over to Plantsmap.com where you can record up-to-date information about what is growing in your garden, and you can even create your own interactive plant markers!  I highly recommend this website for any avid garden enthusiasts.  It also helps you learn and stay organized if you are a newbie gardener.
