Monthly Musings On The Farm-September

Welcome to the second addition of monthly musings on the farm!  Summer has slowly been turning into fall, with the warm weather sticking around late into September.  Although it is still warm out, prepping for the colder weather is important.  The horses, Indica and Khalila now have more room to graze with a new expansion into the field. The three chicks born in mid July are all grown up now and establishing themselves among the other chickens.  Sunshine's baby chick, Joy, has grown bigger and stronger but still sleeps under momma chicken during the cooler nights.  The goats spend time seeking warm sunbeams to nap in.  My goose Finn continues to be the "guard dog" of the farm protecting everyone from all intruders, including a red plastic bucket full of feed.  Intruder or not, his skepticism tells him keeping everyone safe is top priority (The bucket has yet to attack back!)  Come join me and take a glimpse at fall on the farm!

Wonderful and expressive animals at your farm 🙂
I only have a little dog, but squirrels, frogs, deer, badgers and lots of birds live or feed in our garden.
Would have loved to live on a farm with lots of animals, like my grandmother did…

Beautiful farm animals. I would love to have a goose as a watch dog, if he could be housebroken 🙂

Fall on your farm looks so fun. Finn seems like a real “character” – Those goats are so funny. Loved the beautiful horses and the gorgeous rooster. I bet you all have a grand time there on the farm.
