Project 366 Weeks 7 & 8

The 366 Photo Challenge 2016

February has flown by, and it's finally time to leap into March!  We are almost hitting Daylight Savings Time, so that means the days will be getting longer.  I'm also looking forward to the luckiest day of the year possibly filled with some green beer, St. Patrick's Day.  Best of all, it's time to fill our window boxes with pansies and violas while watching the crocuses, tulips and daffodils pop out of the ground.  At the end of the month, we get to enjoy Easter celebrations with family and friends.  Come enjoy some of the daily highlights taken in photograph form below.

Day 046 | 366 {movement}

movement

Some sub-zero movement. The sun is hitting these icicles causing them to slowly melt outside my window. With the freezing temperatures, that's about the only movement outside today.

Day 047 | 366 {in my kitchen}

Tulips

Who doesn't love to cook right next to a mini field of tulips in the kitchen? 💐 It's tulip Tuesday! It's almost April right?

Day 048 | 366 {pop of color}

Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass really adds a healthy pop of color to any home. I can't believe this was just a bunch of seeds seven days ago! Letting them sprout in water really does the trick. After, I let them germinate for a few days in the dark and then moved them to the sunny window ledge. This type of wheatgrass is called Liquid Sunshine from Botanical Interests☀️ Excited to give this to the chickens as a snack! Since there isn't much grass around for them to munch right now, this is perfect! Hopefully this will get devoured in a couple of days!🐓

Day 049 | 366 {something old}

Gray's Anatomy

My grandfather's Gray's Anatomy book from 1944. I would always look at him with wide eyes and fascination. I couldn't help but marvel at the fact that his fingers had the ability to heal people. I was convinced this book contained magic and now that I'm older, I'm not ashamed to say I still think it does! What we can do with knowledge and our minds is magic.

Day 050 | 366 {letters}

Letters

I still enjoy sending out handwritten thank you letters. Happy to find gorgeous garden themed ones with a message I very much agree with! As long as you make sure you pick friends that are flowers and not weeds!👌

Day 051 | 366 {my outfit today}

My Outfit Today

I was happy to wake up to the sun shining and pleasant 60° weather. Most of the snow has melted away, so no coat necessary! It was a nice Saturday afternoon spent shopping at the farmers market and doing a little gardening☀️

Day 052 | 366 {a product I love}

Bose Headphones

My favorite eyeshadow colors are contained in The Naked Palette 3! Lovely shades to create a basic bright eye for daytime & transitions perfectly to a dramatic smokey eye for nighttime! ☀️🌙

Day 053 | 366 {bokeh}

Red Tulips

My Cherry Nymph amaryllis bulbs from Longfield Gardens have been blooming now for a full month! The blooms are the size of my head. Such gorgeous flowers to have blooming all winter long.

Day 054 | 366 {starts with t}

Starts With T

Finn my {t}oulouse goose who stole my heart the moment I met him. Finn and the ducks spent the day wading across the stream, dunking underwater and playing in the mud. A pretty good day in the life of a goose.

Day 055 | 366 {my drink of choice}

My Drink Of Choice

It might be dull and drizzly outside today, but my tastebuds think it's sunny and warm! Drinking some strawberry kiwi juice adds just the right amount of sweetness to my day! 🍓

Day 056 | 366 {sprinkle}

Sprinkle

An ice cream cone looks naked without a few sprinkles on top, or maybe more than a few! 😛 When shooting a subject that is delicious, proceed to then eat your subject!

Day 057 | 366 {quiet}

Amaryllis Benefica

My favorite kind of quiet. A beacon of light shines in, engulfs the couch in warmth that lulls your tired fur baby to sleep.

Day 058 | 366 {a low angle}

Pink Hydrangea

Nothing brings the animals on the farm together like a fresh watermelon 🍉👌

Day 059 | 366 {homemade}

Godiva Dessert Truffles

A birdhouse I built with my own two hands. It may be a bit weathered, and every winter the perch disappears (I usually find it in the spring), but I think the years have given it a rustic look with lots of charm! I enjoy seeing a different tenant come and make a nest inside every couple of months! 🐦

Day 060 | 366 {breakfast}

Day 060 | 366 {breakfast}

My favorite fruit to have for breakfast.🍴If I had a backyard full of watermelons I'd be all set!

    That goose is awesome. Is it yours or were you just out and about and named him? So cool either way!

      Thank you! Yes, the goose is part of the farm animal gang! I raised him from little gosling to full grown goose 🙂
