Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20

The 366 Photo Challenge 2016

May is such a lovely month filled with new buds and blooms.  Most of my time these past days have been spent dedicated to tending the gardens.  It's so lovely to see old plants back again, along with new plants filling the beds with life.  With summer right around the corner, it's finally time to pull out the flip flops and floppy hats again.  Lemonade and iced tea season is back in full swing!  Come take a visual journey of this past month below!

Day 137 | 366 {season}

As the season progresses, I see more of my favorites begin to bloom. Here are my Blue Moon woodland phlox.

Day 138 | 366 {knot}

Day 139 | 366 {favorite time of day}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Any time spent outside gardening is my favorite time of day. Here are some newly planted Carpet Blue Lace petunias 💜

Day 140 | 366 {bubbles}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

A little bit of lemon sunshine & bubbles in my glass 🍋🍃

Day 141 | 366 {macro}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

A little mustard green macro from the veggie garden. Have you ever grown mustard greens before? This is my first year growing them. Please feel free to share tips, tricks and recipes! I'm growing Japanese Giant Red & Komatsuma Tendergreen mustard greens!

Day 142 | 366 {self-portrait}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Doing what I love to do most. Planting gorgeous flowers and container gardening is my favorite! Did the not so fun parts today. Amended the soil and pulled so many pesky weeds. Have to stay ahead of it so come July it doesn't look like a jungle!

Day 143 | 366 {sky}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Don't forget to look up at the beautiful skies around you. My geese taught me this since they are always on alert. They side eye the skies long before I see that bird or plane they know is coming. Smart little things ☁️

Day 144 | 366 {my morning}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

After getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist, I filled my urn with some lovely new varieties of plants. The thriller is Proven Winners Graceful Grasses Prince Tut dwarf Egyptian papyrus. The filler is Supercal Blue petunias. The spiller is Proven Winners ’Sweet Caroline’ Light Green sweet potato vine.

Day 145 | 366 {sweet}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

The hummingbirds in my yard have been enjoying the sweet nectar of my honeysuckle vine! I've been watching them visit while I'm hard at work outside. Fast little things! Super hard to capture any good pictures, so I've learned to just enjoy them without grabbing my camera. They like to watch over their food source on a dead tree branch right above. I've contemplated cutting it, but it makes the perfect little perch!

Day 146 | 366 {arrow}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Just planted this Arrowwood Viburnum in my butterfly garden. This variety is called Blue Muffin from Proven Winners. It has creamy white summer flowers and blue fruit in late summer. Butterflies enjoy the nectar from the flowers and birds love the berries!

Day ‪147 | 366 {my passion}‬

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

I am passionate about gardening, animals and photography. Watching a flower bloom is so rewarding when you put your all into planting. Seeing your goose learn to fly when you raised them from the time they were just a few days old. Taking that perfect shot of a teeny tiny bug with your macro lens. All great moments in life. All things I am passionate about 😀

Day ‪148 | 366 {old school}‬

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

‪Peony flowers are such an old school classic flower. They can live for over 100 years in the same garden if left untouched. Can't wait to see these buds open soon!/center>

Day 149 | 366 {top}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Trying to stay on top of the veggie garden this year. These are my Bush Blue Lake beans from Botanical Interests starting to sprout. Thanks Handy Helen for your great giveaway earlier this year! 😀😋 What's everyone growing this year??

Day 150 | 366 {even}

Project 366 Weeks 19 & 20 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Even though the perch and chimney fell off my bird house this winter, the sparrow who lives here doesn't seem to mind. When I go to water the garden at dusk, she flies out of the house and sits on the fence until I'm finished. I always make sure to leave her a sunflower seed on the ledge 😄🌻

Day 151 | 366 {sound}

The sound Roo makes in the morning....and afternoon....and night. Basically he makes this sound every 10 minutes 😜

Day 152 | 366 {what I’m looking at}

    We raise chickens and a huge garden. My days are spent weeding, watering, feeding and hanging clothes on the line to air dry. Nothing gets any better, Photos are beautiful.

    Well, you’ve definitely captured the essence of Spring in these photos, I almost starting sneezing at the flowers! These are really gorgeous though, and I love your project for taking a photo a day.

    Stopping by from Photo Friday at Pierced Wonderings. Happy Friday!
