Aquascape Stacked Slate Urn | angiethefreckledrose.com

Building an autumn garden around my Aquascape stacked slate urn

Welcome to Dishing It & Digging It!  The leaves are putting on a colorful show here in New England.  The water feature from Aquascape that I added to my backyard is looking wonderful!  I built a garden from scratch around it, and I'm loving the way it turned out.  I wanted to naturalize the space with perennials, shrubs, spring bulbs and a few special annuals that would really make it pop.  I added Autumn Joy sedum, Ornamental millet, multi-colored chrysanthemums, Green Velvet boxwood and Coppertina ninebark.  I also planted daffodil, allium and tulip bulbs for next spring.  I'm already so excited to see them bloom!  After I took this picture, I also added in heuchera plants and solar spot lights to highlight the feature after the sun sets.  I have a bird feeder close by, and the birds are loving splashing around and taking small baths in the fountain!  I can't wait to share the final pictures with you!  Don't forget that I will be hosting a giveaway along with Aquascape on the blog very soon.  You can win your very own backyard water fountain!

So, now let me turn this over to this week's host.

Hi I'm Lori and I blog over at
 Lori @ The Stonybrook House
I'm so glad you stopped by!  It's so exciting to see how much our link party has grown and that's all because of YOU!  I look forward each week to see what cool projects recipes and tips you all are going to share. You guys are so creative! 🙂  This week I've been playing catch up from vacation...but I did share about our adventures (my birthday :P) and having to cut it short because of Hurricane Matthew.

Myrtle Beach, NC

That pier was the Springmaid Pier that got destroyed. It's so sad, please remember them. There was so much destruction and people are still trying to get back to some sort of normal.

I also shared how I made these adorable blocks.
