I am happy to share that I have made it through all 366 of my first photo a day challenge! They definitely do call it a challenge for a reason. There were some days where I had zero inspiration and real life definitely got in the way. On the other hand, I started to learn to think outside the box, not taking the daily prompts so literally, and it became something I looked forward to. It really did up my creativity and imagination. You start to look at the detail of the everyday objects and the scenery around you.
I really enjoyed how it helped me improve my skills in photo editing software like Adobe Lightroom. I became more comfortable shooting in manual mode and started experimenting with different lenses. All of these skills take time to learn and master. Just like playing piano, it helps when you practice everyday. Participating in The Bethadilly Challenge made me challenge myself and find a style that was all my own. I'm excited to share that I will be jumping on board The Bethadilly 52 this year. Instead of a photo each day, I will be taking a themed photo each week. I'm thrilled to keep pushing myself and ready to try something new!

January 11, 2017 at 3:40 pmThis is awesome! What a great way to challenge yourself.
My goal this coming year is a poem per week. That lack of inspiration is already starting to hit and it’s only week 2 for me. Way to go with making it a whole year!

January 11, 2017 at 3:10 pmI love this! How amazing to have captured an image a day for a full year. A memory a day marked forever more. I may have to take inspiration from this and take on this challenge for myself.

January 6, 2017 at 10:48 pmI’m happy if my photos don’t include my finger or a pooping dog! Yours are incredible!!
Thefreckledrose
January 8, 2017 at 5:25 pmhahaha that made me giggle! Some of my photos include my thumb still, but luckily no pooping dogs. They just decide to lick my clean lens every now and then. Darn dogs! Most recently, a horse sneezed on my lens. Yes, that’s right, I had to clean off horse boogers. Thank you very much by the way 🙂
