[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ello friends! Welcome back to another addition of Dishing It & Digging It! We encourage you to share your latest DIY projects, recipes, creative crafts, home renovations, garden creations, floral arrangements and more.

This week, I've been hard at work reading and prepping for some book reviews coming soon to the blog. There are so many new gardening and farming books at the top of my list for 2017. I attended a Patriots game this weekend. It's cold out there, but New Englanders don't mind watching a victory when it's only 20 degrees outside. We stay warm with excitement and a little hot chocolate!

I've also been growing some baby greens and microgreens in a small kitchen garden. Growing an indoor garden is a must for me around this time of year. I really start missing my outdoor flower and vegetable gardens.

It has been raining like crazy. We definitely need the rain. It is also cold, but not as cold as some of the states you all live in. I am a California girl, so when it is cold, I feel it! Our power went out for 18 hours, so we were roughing it a bit. On top of that, our gas fireplace quit working and the repairman is not coming out until Friday. It's a good thing, we have a wood fireplace as a backup. We ended up making coffee by boiling the water and using a paper towel as a filter. Needless to say, we were quite happy to get our power back on and enjoy our Jura coffee station.
