I celebrated my 29th birthday this week! My fiancé gave me such a wonderful gift. We took a trip to Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut where we went behind the scenes to meet the penguins! Learning about the behavior of African penguins while interacting with some waddling friends was so much fun. They are such amazing animals. It was such a dream come true! We met a young female penguin named Purple Purple. She was fascinated by sneakers and enjoyed untying my fiancé’s shoes. The older female penguin we met is pictured here with us. She is very well trained and loved pets. The oldest penguins that are part of the colony have been at the aquarium since 1989, when the exhibit opened! If you ever find yourself in Connecticut, make sure to visit the aquarium. The penguins and beluga whales make it definitely worth the trip.

Hello everyone! I hope your week has been good. I have been decking the halls and getting back in the swing of things. My computer recently died and I have been trying to get acclimated to the new one. I put every old song, file and picture on a external hard drive to keep my new computer clean. So it’s a struggle to get things done when all my files are not where they usually are. But is is a nice feeling knowing everything is backed up though!
Last week was a kind of a blogging break for me, I only cranked out a tablescape for the holidays.

November 19, 2017 at 8:34 pmI visited Mystic ages ago on a high school band trip — This would have been in the 70’s so the aquarium was not there, but it was still a beautiful place!
