I’ve been having such a blast working on my new raised bed veggie garden! I have a total of 16 beds. Little by little, I’ve been filling them with a mix of composted soil and cow manure. Some of the veggies I’m growing are tomatoes, peppers, tomatillos, cucumbers, eggplant, watermelon, spinach, lettuce, kale, corn & more.
I’m taking my time with planting and adding in things like fertilizer, egg shells, epsom salt, baking soda and more as I go. Hoping to get the healthiest veggies I can possibly get.
I’m also growing a variety of herbs. Some of the herbs I’m growing are basil, borage, parsley, lavender, chamomile, catnip, lemon balm, rosemary, oregano and more. I’m adding more as I go as companions. I just love the smell that herb plants give off when you walk through the garden!
It’s always very important to me to attract pollinators to my garden. I’m making a huge effort to add both annual and perennial flowers just for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds. You can read more about the flowers I’ll be growing in my new blog post!

We’re still in sprouts here, and I’m trying to stay ahead of the weeds.
