We are only 14 days away from the first official day of spring! The outside garden still has a long way to go, so I’m continuing to care for the houseplants inside and dream about what’s to come. I was looking to bring in some sunshine, so I created this floral arrangement indoors.
Calla lilies have always been one of my favorite flowers. Do I just have to choose one? That seems too hard. I was looking for cheerful yellow blooms. They ended up making an excellent focal point for this arrangement.
I am always drawn to adding flowering herbs to arrangements. This charming feverfew really caught my eye. I thought it would make a good filler flower.
As soon as I saw this vibrant, deep jewel toned stock, I knew it would make a great accent flower. I really love mixing yellow and purple together. I think it makes such a lovely combo. I grew stock in my garden from seed for the very first time last season. They have such an alluring scent that just keeps me going back for more.
I knew I wanted a vertical element to this flower arrangement. Veronica turned out to be just what I was looking for. I grow purple Veronica in my flower garden. I definitely want to add in some white blooms this season. They are just absolutely stunning!
Thank you for joining me while I daydream about spring. We’re almost there! Do you have a favorite flower? Maybe you’re like me and find it hard to choose! For more floral inspiration, visit Rambling in the Garden. As always, happy gardening!

March 6, 2023 at 7:13 pmThis is a gorgeous arrangement! My son is so excited for the first day of spring because it’s his birthday and nothing to do with the flowers. But I’m excited that our garden is starting to grow in again so we can have fresh flowers inside soon, too.

March 6, 2023 at 6:25 pmCalla lillies are absolutely stunning and your photos have me dreaming of spring. I don’t plant or garden but I enjoy looking at flowers. There’s something so magical with them and they always perk up my mood. In terms of my favorite flowers, I would say they are the alstroemerias.

March 6, 2023 at 4:35 pmThe pictures are beautiful! Makes me want to keep more flowers in my home. Living in Florida where it’s pretty much summer all year round, makes me forget about missing spring when I lived in the northeast.

March 6, 2023 at 3:21 pmIt’s a beautiful combination of flowers, Angie. I checked the calla lilies I inherited with my current garden just yesterday but none are yet showing signs of blooming. I only got 2 flowers in total last year but, with all the rain California has received this year, I’m hoping for better 😉
