Project 366 Weeks 33 – 36

The 366 Photo Challenge 2016

Lately, I have been busy cleaning out the garden and preparing it for the colder days coming our way.  I've also been in the kitchen baking apple crisp with my freshly picked apples!  Apple picking is one of my favorite fall activities.  Mums and sweet autumn clematis are back in season keeping the yard full of color and filling it with that strong perfume scent.  Our yearly trip to New England's biggest fall fair, The Big E, was so much fun!  All the traditional food was there along with some new favorites like the delicious poutine and the must-have blueberry pierogi.  The last of my eggplants, tomatoes and peppers have been harvested.  The September harvest moon was stunning, and now we have the hunters moon to look forward too!  Come see my most recent photos below!

With the outdoor growing season coming to a close, I've been hard at work picking and drying my herbs. It's the perfect time to store all of your homegrown herbs so you can keep enjoying them throughout the winter!

Day 248 | 366 {repetitive}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Little ones constantly sparring to see who gets the top spot of the pack! This becomes a pretty repetitive occurrence throughout the day. Then, they all cuddle like nothing happened 😂

Day 249 | 366 {my everyday}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

My everyday is full of moments tending to the garden. My favorites are the moments I get to enjoy these beautiful blooms!

Day 250 | 366 {glass}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Anyone who knows me knows about my love of aquatic life! Owning tropical fish is such a relaxing hobby. I've had aquariums since I was very little and owned many different kinds freshwater fish over the years. My first fish was a goldfish named Sparkle. Now, I have two tanks. One holds jewel cichlids and the other has happy angelfish & a silver dollar fish. 🐠 I've seen my fish lay eggs and have babies, and even had a feisty parrot fish that loved to chase fingers through the glass. I've owned lobsters, bamboo shrimp, puffer fish and a giant suckermouth catfish! Puffer fish have a major attitude, so be warned! Anyone who thinks fish are boring haven't met my fish 😜

Day 251 | 366 {what represents me}

Is anyone else looking at tonight's Harvest moon? It's beautiful & bright radiating fall vibes in the sky! Autumnal equinox is right around the corner 🍂🐺 🕸🎃

Day 255 | 366 {sweet}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

The aroma of Sweet Autumn clematis fills the air with such a delightful fragrance! It's so relaxing to work around these beautiful vines. If I could bottle it, I would! 🍃

When the chickens give you a look filled with major attitude that says, can't you see we are busy here napping? They can be so fowl sometimes! 😋

Nothing like sweet & sugary cotton candy, kettle corn and candy apples at the fair!

Day 264 | 366 {high}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Getting a nice sugar high with this blueberry pierogi sundae from Moolicious Farm at The Big E. This tasty treat consists of a waffle cone filled with a warm blueberry pierogi. Then, it's topped with vanilla soft serve, a large helping of whipped cream topped with a drizzle of warm blueberry sauce, cinnamon sugar and wild blueberries! Heavenly!

Day 265 | 366 {unique}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

The most unique veggie I grew in my garden this year would have to be the Little Fingers eggplant. These small and compact fruit grew in clusters. They are very small and can be picked when finger sized. They have a mild flavor with a glossy purplish-black skin. Definitely growing these cuties again 🍆

Day 266 | 366 {quiet}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Spent a nice quiet day apple picking and choosing the perfect porch worthy pumpkins.

Day 267 | 366 {a sign}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Who doesn't love farm fresh everything? The weather started to officially feel like fall this weekend. Stocked up on pumpkins, apples, cider, eggs & some apple butter. Now I'm on the hunt for some fresh cider donuts!

Day 268 | 366 {rows}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Rows and rows of punkins! 🎃 I don't know about you, but pumpkin picking makes me feel like a kid again! I still get giddy when I find the perfect one, and going to pick up the big ones certainly makes me feel small!

Day 269 | 366 {means a lot to me}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Phoebe and Finn mean so much to me. I'll never forget the day I met them. It was snowing outside, and we were eager to pick them up as soon as they arrived at the post office. There they were, little faces only a few days old sitting in a box filled with hay. We put them right in their temporary pen with their newly set up heat lamp. They promptly got settled after looking around on their tiny wobbly legs. The imprint was strong and they would peep loudly in protest when I walked away from the pen within the next few weeks. They began having swim time in the tub. After bath time, they would snuggle in a towel on top of me and doze off while I watched Game Of Thrones. Soon they began exploring the outdoors, always following close in tow behind me. They would be right by my side as I pruned and gardened napping in the sun. Those days are now far behind, but they continue to bring me so much joy each day! They stole my heart immediately, and now couldn't imagine a life without geese! ❤️

Day 270 | 366 {messy}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

The Big E by far has the best food I've ever tasted! This poutine was messy, delectable and so worth it! 😜👌

Day 271 | 366 {what I’m doing today}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Spending quality time and bonding with Gobbles. We really are very similar. Making loud, alarming noises. Giving people menacing stares. Being perplexed and aroused by the color red. Eating far too much while obnoxiously debating politics. I do none of these things by the way. Okay, maybe one. I can't say the same for Gobbles. In case you were wondering, his adorable head feels exactly like a bumpy gourd!

Day 272 | 366 {inside}

Project 366 Weeks 33 - 34 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Fall inspired decor! Chrysanthemums inside these adorable happy jack-o'-lantern pots 🎃 Is anyone else decorating yet?

Day 273 | 366 {posed}

    Wow, beautiful photos. Makes me feel like fall is really here. I am traveling in Europe for the year, and am hoping I can find pumpkin pie, and apple pie ingredients for November. Fingers Crossed.
