Project 366 Weeks 44 -46

The 366 Photo Challenge 2016

Thanksgiving is such a busy week for everyone.  The hustle and bustle of cleaning, shopping and cooking is in full swing.  I can't believe Christmas is only a month away.  I've been busy getting the last of the spring bulbs in the ground.  Cleaning up around the yard and making sure the leaves don't take over has also been on the agenda.  I'm so ready to just sit down and relax with a nice slice of pumpkin pie! Here are some of my latest photo a day snaps below!

Day 306 | 366 {hot}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

I've really become a fan of hibiscus tea 🌺I tend to go for anything that's caffeine free since I enjoy drinking it at night. I love how this tea is a bit tart and tangy! My second favorite is the classic Sleepytime tea. I always sweeten my cup with a bit of honey from my favorite, @beelocal. It's so good, I'm guilty of eating it on it's own! I'm almost out, so it looks like it's going to the top of my wishlist this holiday season. What's your favorite tea to sip on?

Day 307 | 366 {a high angle}

Cleaning out the garden today and saving some seeds for next year. Aren't these Scarlet runner beans beautiful? These are my fifth generation this year! They are so easy to save, and pretty to look at! 💜💗 Done with most of the veggie garden for the season. Still deciding if I want to grow under my hoop house all winter!

Day 308 | 366 {baking}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

There's nothing better then smelling brownies baking in the oven! When that scent wafts through the house, it's mouth watering 🏠

Day 309 | 366 {scarf}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Not used to it getting dark so early just yet! Nothing a big scarf, some seasonal baking and some extra snuggling can't fix! Time changes always take a little while for me to get used to. I miss you already sunny 6 pm skies ☀️

Day 310 | 366 {kindness}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Kindness is sharing the pond with your fellow waterfowl friends. Finn protects any body of water, from a small dish to a medium size pond. Anyone who gets to swim with him is okay in his book!

Day 311 | 366 {leaves}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Yes, I found freckled leaves! I went out hunting for leaves that had detail. I thought these spotted leaves were very unique. Nature is going into hibernation all around us!

Day 312 | 366 {mine}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

My garden is not perfect. I have daily successes and daily failures. I lose crops to all sorts of things like critters and disease. I've had seeds that don't seem to grow into the strong plants I wanted them to be. I've had giant tree limbs fall and crush my almost fully matured crops. Ground hogs who found ways to burrow under my chicken wire fence. Even had a fully grown tomato plant outgrow its cage and collapse right in front of my sad, tear filled eyes. Despite all of this, my garden is mine. If I don't like something, I can change it. If I don't want to grow a vegetable, I don't have to grow it. If I don't like the design, I can save money and upgrade it. It's so liberating when that finally becomes clear to you as a grower. You don't have to do anything anybody tells you with your own garden or conform to any standards. You grow because it's what you love to do. The day you see that there are no bounds, no matter what zone you are growing in or how little space you have is a great day! I celebrate all the garden triumphs no matter how small! Strawberries still growing ripe fruit in November in Massachusetts? For me, that's cause for a celebration! I've never experienced this before, and I plan on fully enjoying it. Thank you @greenstalkgarden for making fresh strawberries all the way into fall possible! 🍓

Day 313 | 366 {orange}

These fluffy blooms fill my fall garden

Day 314 | 366 {inspirational}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

I find fall so inspirational! The colors, the weather, the leaves, the holidays! I love it all 🍂 Fall has stolen my heart.

Day 315 | 366 {window light}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Today has been a dreary, rain-filled day with little light shining through the windows. It is gorgeous how once the sun goes down and the house lights come on, the falling rain becomes illuminated.💧

Day 316 | 366 {a pattern}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Happy that it's still warm enough outside to wear my thinner scarves. Almost time to break out the thick knitted beauties tucked away!

Day 317 | 366 {a change of season}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Now that it's November, not many flowers are blooming but we do get to enjoy the beauty of different ornamental grasses!

Day 318 | 366 {starts with D}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

Ducks of course! Freckles is five years old now. Her and her sis Little Wing are best buds. She is on the slower side, so sometimes she gets left behind when the other fowl go on group adventures. Even though she is alone here and there, she gets to swim in her pond. As long as you have a place to swim when you are a duck, life is good!

Day 319 | 366 {a noise}

Project 366 Weeks 44 -46 | angiethefreckledrose.com

You should hear the noises Gobbles makes! Lately he's been noisier than ever! I think it may be protests of the upcoming holiday and what it revolves around. He thinks we should all maybe feature a different dish like cranberry, or maybe tofurky! Right on my turkey pal, you're safe with me!✊🦃

Day 320 | 366 {i am thankful for}

Thankful for calm moments like this.

    Lovely photos. I’m a great flower lover and respect your gardening abilities. I tried growing veggies for a while and now just buy from local growers (who don’t use chemicals). I have a little more success with flowers. I would love to have some of your beans from those beautiful beans in your hand. I love all beans! Happy Thanksgiving!

      Thank you very much Carol! I just adore growing flowers 🙂 I buy from local growers as well, it’s a great way to support the local farming communities! If I don’t feel like growing something that needs lots of care, but is still edible I grow herbs. Growing some on my window right now. Basil & mint are super easy! Aren’t those beans beautiful? They are my favorite!

    I love your texture filled photos.Scarlet runners make a colorful addition to the kitchen when placed in a jar on the shelf. All your fowl seem happy, just like your photos in a previous post.

      Thanks so much Rhonda! I completely agree, they are so fascinating to look at 🙂 The fowl friends are doing well, I’m sure they aren’t looking forward to the ponds turning to ice though.
