I was feeling really down about the garden season

I was feeling really down about the garden season coming to an end. The killing frost is definitely on the way and it’s been getting down to anywhere between 38 and 36° at night. While taking out all the warm weather crops, I saw a rainbow 🌈 kind of hard to be sad when you see a rainbow, right? Guess that’s a sign that everything will eventually come back next year.

Moonflower magic 🪄🌙

I’ve always felt a strong connection to the nighttime garden and nocturnal flowers. I love staying out until the sun goes down while observing all of the bats come out to start hunting bugs, the moths flying around pollinating the flowers and the robins singing their final song of the day.

The first and second picture are from this afternoon. The third is during dusk and the final shot is from yesterday before bloom!

I was determined to enjoy certain flowers that are

I was determined to enjoy certain flowers that aren’t easy for me to grow because of critters/slugs/bugs. One being Hollyhock! I planted delphinium, foxglove and hollyhock in pots that are off the ground and finally had success!

My liatris however was eating by some sort of critter. Ive been growing it for years with no issues and i didn’t even know critters liked liatris!
